Coke Zero 400 + Sprint FANZONE

Brumos Porsche 250 to Join Coke Zero 400 in Daytona Doubleheader

Grand-Am Road Racing and NASCAR have announced a unique combination for July 4, when the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will compete on the same day at Daytona International Speedway.

The Brumos Porsche 250 will take the green flag that Saturday afternoon, followed by the Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola at 8 p.m.

Previously, the Brumos Porsche 250 was held on Thursday evening of the July 4 weekend. It will remain a one-day event, with practice and qualifying Saturday morning.

"This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase our exciting style of racing in front of more than 100,000 fans," said Grand-Am President Roger Edmondson. "Coming off the photo finish of last year's race, along with the exciting conclusion of the recent Rolex 24, non-traditional sports car fans will experience a terrific show."

Details of television coverage as well as a starting time for the race will be announced in the near future.

The heritage of the Brumos Porsche 250 dates to 1967-1983, when it started at the stroke of midnight on July 4, followed on the morning of July 4 by the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race then known as the Firecracker 400. Grand-Am revived the event on the Thursday date as part of its inaugural 2000 season.

The Brumos Porsche 250 is the seventh of 12 events on the 2009 Rolex Series schedule, which opened with the 47th running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona on Jan. 24-25. Brumos Porsche driver David Donohue held off Juan Pablo Montoya by .167 seconds to win in the closest finish in the history of major international 24-hour motorsports events, while TRG Porsches scored a one-two sweep in the GT class.

One of the most exciting NASCAR nighttime races on the circuit, the Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola features the stars of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series battling for victory on the daunting 31-degree high banks of DIS.

The 160-lap, 400-mile Independence Day holiday weekend classic will feature fireworks on and off the track with past winners including Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart and most recently Kyle Busch.

View the race from the Grandstand Front Stretch rows or box section. Children 12 & under are FREE into the General Admission Grandstands when accompanied by a paying Adult!

Each of New York Foundation for the Arts’ programs and services will be covered with an emphasis on NYFA Source, Fiscal Sponsorship, and the Immigrant Artists Project.
NYFA Source: NYFA Source is the most extensive national online directory of awards, services, and programs for artists.

Fiscal Sponsorship: Fiscal Sponsorship is a critical way for individual artists, artists' collaborative projects, and emerging arts organizations in all disciplines to apply for funding usually available only to organizations with 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. The right fiscal sponsor will not only allow you to manage your project efficiently, but can actually help artists to raise more money and realize their artistic visions more fully.

Immigrant Artists Project: Through the Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program, the bi-monthly IAP Newsletter, and other programming, the Immigrant Artist Project seeks to expand the constituency it serves by nurturing and fostering a community of empowered artists with diverse educational, cultural, and creative backgrounds.

The New York Foundation for the Arts' mission is to empower artists at critical stages in their creative lives.

LegalArt has dedicated itself to providing artists with affordable legal services, grants and educational opportunities. By empowering artists with access to legal and professional support, resources and information, LegalArt creates opportunities and protections for Miami’s art community; fostering a generation armed with the skills to legally protect their creations. All LegalArt programming helps artists by creating a community both dedicated to and invested in their success.

Locust Projects is an alternative exhibition space dedicated to providing contemporary visual artists the freedom to experiment with new ideas and methods without the pressure of gallery sales or limitations of conventional exhibition spaces. Locust Projects is committed to offering an approachable and inviting venue for the Miami and International art community to experience artwork and meet the artists.
